The Assam Joint Lateral Entry Examination, commonly known as Assam JLEE, is a state-level entrance examination conducted for admission into the undergraduate engineering programs. Its primary objective is to offer lateral entry to candidates who have completed a Diploma in Engineering or Technology. Instead of starting a B.Tech/B.E. program from the first semester, JLEE qualified students are directly admitted into the third semester, significantly shortening their path to a full engineering degree.
